An auto locksmith for Doral that also handles the electronics behind the key
4Keys Locksmith, the trade name of Qorinca LLC under Miami-Dade County locksmith license LK-094576, sends mobile technicians to Doral, FL at any hour and is NASTF VSP authorized, ALOA certified, insured and bonded. There is no shop, so nobody needs to drive anywhere: a key cutting machine, a laptop with dealer-level software and a stock of cylinders ride along, so the technician works next to the car or at the door, and the dispatcher tells you on the phone when to expect the van, in a typical window of 15 to 30 minutes.
This page starts with a job that is easy to take to the wrong place first: a car that will not start after a control module was replaced. After it come the remaining car jobs (lockouts, spares, lost keys, fobs, ignitions, fleets), then offices, warehouses and shops, then houses and apartments, with the detail that shapes each job and what to have on hand.
No van rolls before you have agreed to a price on the phone; the published reference rates sit on our price list. Speak to the dispatcher in English or in Spanish. To check any locksmith's credentials before a van arrives, Doral included, read the Miami-Dade verification guide on the Miami page.
The new module is in, the car still will not start: BCM, ECU, immobilizer, RF hub and the Security Gateway
Several computers take part in letting an engine run. The body control module (BCM) handles locks, lights and, on many cars, part of the key check; the engine computer (ECU, or PCM when it also runs the transmission) decides whether fuel and spark are allowed; and the immobilizer is either a module of its own or a function inside one of those two. Stellantis push-button vehicles add the radio frequency hub, the RF hub or RFHM, which Locksmith Ledger describes as the module that handles many radio-frequency operations, and earlier FOBIK vehicles carry a Wireless Ignition Node (WIN). A replacement part does not yet know the car's identity or its keys, and the result is a crank with no start, a dash that says it cannot detect the key, or a security light that misbehaves: the Jeep owner's manuals describe a flashing immobilizer light as an invalid key or fob, and a light that never goes out after the bulb check as an electronics fault.
Where the part came from matters. A module bought new is set up for the car by VIN. Parts sellers' own notes on General Motors body control modules say a used one stays tied to the donor vehicle's VIN and security until it is reprogrammed, so the question of new, used or rebuilt comes up on every module call. Software level matters too. Jeep bulletin 08-094-23, for SRT Grand Cherokees with keyless start, warns that once an optional anti-theft update is loaded into the RFHM, the module refuses any further fob, and adding keys after that takes a replacement RFHM at an earlier software level. The fix is not always a part, either: Jeep bulletin 08-100-15 cures a "Key Not Detected" no-start on the 2014 Grand Cherokee with a software flash of the existing RFHM.
Then there is the Security Gateway. According to ALLDATA, FCA built a secure gateway into some of its Jeep, Fiat, Chrysler and Dodge models from model year 2018 onward, and Locksmith Ledger explains that it cuts what a tool on the OBD-II port can do down to basic diagnostics. Deeper functions need registered access through AutoAuth. On Stellantis models from 2014 forward, the immobilizer PIN is sold per vehicle on the Stellantis portal, exclusively to people whose NASTF VSP credential is active, and it stops working 12 hours after purchase. The legitimate way through a gateway is authorization from the manufacturer's side, never a workaround.
Other makes set their own conditions: after a front electronic module (FEM) is replaced on F30-family BMWs, bulletin SIB B61 11 18 has the dealer finish the job in an online session with BMW of North America (our Bay Harbor Islands page covers European keys). Ford and Jeep notices ask for two fobs, or both fobs in the cabin, while a new module learns them, so the whole key ring travels with the car, the dead fob from the drawer included.
4Keys Locksmith programs replaced modules to the car and its keys at the vehicle in Doral, whether it sits in a driveway, a parking lot or the service bay where the part went in, with dealer-level software under its NASTF VSP authorization. Before the van leaves, the dispatcher checks what your year, make and module require. The service itself is described on the module programming service page, and the question of dealer software is answered next to it.
Recalls and bulletins that show how a module change reaches the keys
Each row repeats what the recall notice, service bulletin or trade source states, with its years untouched. Your own vehicle is checked by VIN on the call.
| Make and model | Model years named | Part involved | What the document states |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) | 2014 | Radio frequency hub (RFHM) | Bulletin 08-100-15: a "Key Not Detected" no-start is corrected by reflashing the RFHM, with no part replaced. |
| Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, keyless start | 2020 (WK) | RFHM anti-theft update | Bulletin 08-094-23: after the optional update the hub takes no more fobs; extra keys then call for an RFHM at a previous software level. |
| Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, Charger and Ram, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander | 2010 | Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) | Recall 10V-200: the WIN solenoid latch can bind, and the remedy inspects and replaces the WIN. |
| Jeep, Fiat, Chrysler and Dodge models | From 2018, on some models | Security Gateway | A tool on the OBD-II port sees basic diagnostics only; deeper functions are opened through AutoAuth registration. |
| Stellantis: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram | 2014 onward | Immobilizer PIN code | Sold for one VIN at a time on the Stellantis portal to active NASTF VSP holders, and void after 12 hours. |
| Ford Escape with key start | 2020 | Body control module | Recall 20V-635: the new BCM goes in, and the owner notice says two fobs must be available for the job. |
| BMW F22, F30, F32, F87 and related | Per SIB B61 11 18 | Front electronic module (FEM) | After an FEM replacement the dealer programs the car in an online session requested from BMW of North America. |
Sources: NHTSA recall and service bulletin files, ALLDATA, Locksmith Ledger and the AE Tools knowledge base. A bulletin describes the manufacturer's own procedure; it is listed here to show what the module needs, and the route for your car is settled on the call. Hyundai, Kia, Nissan and Land Rover modules are discussed on our Doraville, Georgia page.
Five things that let the dispatcher quote module work on the first call
The answers decide which software session, which security data and which keys the technician brings.
- 1
The year, make and model, or the VIN
The 17-character VIN, read from the registration or the insurance card, tells the dispatcher which immobilizer generation and which gateway, if any, the car has.
- 2
Which module was replaced, and by whom
BCM, ECU or PCM, immobilizer module, RF hub, ignition node or instrument cluster. If a repair shop installed it, the invoice or the shop can confirm the part name.
- 3
New, used or rebuilt
A new part is set up from scratch for your VIN; a part taken from another car may still carry that car’s identity, and the dispatcher needs to know which one is in yours.
- 4
Every key and fob you have
Count them, including a spare in a drawer and one that stopped working. Some manufacturers require two fobs, or all of them, to be present when a replaced module is synchronized.
- 5
What the dash shows, and where the car is
A security light, a "key not detected" message, a crank with no start, or no crank at all. Then the address: a driveway, an office lot, a warehouse yard or the bay of the shop that did the repair.
Everything else a car can need, done where it is parked in Doral
Commuter cars from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge and Ram get the same programming access as German, British and Italian cars. All six origins are covered: American, German, Japanese, Korean, British, Italian.

Houses, townhomes and apartments: the home side of the same van
A front door that will not open is handled by working on its own hardware, whether knob, lever or deadbolt, and drilling is the last resort rather than the first. When the key is lost instead of locked inside, the cylinder can be repinned before the technician leaves, so whoever picks up the lost key cannot use it. Calls in the middle of the night go through our emergency line.
To rekey a lock, the technician changes the pins inside its cylinder to match a newly cut key; older keys stop working, and nothing on the door is replaced. People ask for it after losing keys, when a housemate leaves, or after buying a home, and the full rekey-or-replace question after a purchase belongs to our Miami Shores page. Doors whose cylinders share a keyway can all be pinned to a single key. More at home locksmith services.
Hardware that is worn out or broken is swapped for new, and a door that only has a knob can be fitted with a deadbolt. If the door has never been drilled for one, it gets a bored hole, a latch and a strike set into the jamb, which our Pinecrest page describes. Keypad and app-controlled deadbolts are mounted and programmed, whether you bought the lock or want one supplied, and the Midtown Miami page explains what leases and condo associations may allow. Where keys must not be copied at a hardware store, restricted-keyway cylinders are installed; key control is explained by our Design District page.
Doral by ZIP code, expressway exit and kind of property
The Doral service area runs across ZIP codes 33122, 33126, 33166, 33172 and 33178 in Miami-Dade County, and those ZIPs also reach into parts of Miami Springs, Sweetwater and Fontainebleau, which the same vans cover. A street address works; so does a company or complex name with the building number.
From the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826), the NW 25th Street, NW 36th Street and NW 58th Street exits lead into Doral; from the Turnpike's Homestead Extension, exit 29 lands on NW 41st Street; and from the Dolphin Expressway (SR 836), the NW 107th Avenue exit sits inside the city. Along NW 36th or NW 41st Street, or NW 87th or NW 107th Avenue, the closest intersection is the most useful thing to say. The dispatch that serves Doral also serves Hialeah to the northeast and Miami Lakes to the north.
The type of address shapes the visit. In a warehouse or a business center, name the bay or dock door and the person who will open it; exit hardware, rekeys and access control can then share a single trip. In a repair shop where a module was just installed, the programming happens with the car on the lift or in the bay. For a gated townhome community, share the gate code or wait for the van at the gatehouse. Inside a parking structure, give the floor and the row; the car does not have to move.
The price comes first: what sets it, and when a night surcharge applies
What goes into the number: for a vehicle, its make and year, the key or module, and how many working keys remain; for a building, how many locks and which kinds. You hear it on the phone, and no technician leaves until you accept it. The after-hours surcharge, which applies between 9 PM and 7 AM local time, and on Sundays and federal holidays, is already inside that figure. Reference rates are on the pricing page.
