Every key 2000 and newer has a chip that must be paired to the immobilizer. We do this on-site through the OBD-II port using dealer-level diagnostic tools, not generic clones.
Why a cut key alone will not start your car
Every vehicle sold in the U.S. since 1997 has an immobilizer: a chip on the key that the vehicle's security module must recognize before the engine starts. A cut key blade without programming will turn the cylinder but will not crank. Programming is the digital handshake between the key's transponder and the vehicle's security memory.
We program transponder keys (2000 to 2018), smart proximity keys (2014 and newer), and remote fobs for domestic, Asian, and European brands. For European luxury (Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover, Audi, Porsche), the security code must be fetched directly from the manufacturer through NASTF VSP, the only legal channel for OEM key data in the U.S.
