Morrow, Clayton County

Businesses, drivers and households in Morrow, served from a van that never closes

4Keys Locksmith serves Morrow, GA as a mobile, round-the-clock locksmith that is NASTF VSP authorized, ALOA-trained, insured by The Hartford, and registered as 4Keys Locksmith LLC with the Georgia Secretary of State. There is no shop to drive to: every job is done at the door or the vehicle, and the dispatcher gives the arrival time for a Morrow address on the call.

This page starts where a Morrow owner or manager needs it most, with the business door that will not open after closing, and then covers the rest: commercial rekeys and master keys, car keys and fobs, and the locks on a house. Car work runs with dealer-level software under NASTF VSP; for a replacement control module, see ECU and module programming and our Doraville page, and for what that software access means, do locksmiths have dealer software.

Every job is priced on the phone before a van is assigned, and the reference rates are on our pricing page. The dispatcher speaks English and Spanish.

Business Lockout After Hours

Locked out of your business after closing: how the visit runs, from the call to the new key

What happens between the phone call and the moment you lock up again, for a store, an office or a warehouse in Morrow.

  1. 1

The call: who you are and which door

Give the business name and address, your name and your role there, and which door you need: a glass storefront, a steel back door, an office suite inside a building. Say whether the key is lost, stolen, locked inside, or simply at home with someone else, because that decides whether the lock needs a rekey afterward.

  2. 2

    The price, before anyone drives

The dispatcher quotes the entry and any rekey on that call. An after-hours surcharge applies between 9 PM and 7 AM local time, and on Sundays and federal holidays, and it is part of the figure you hear. The van rolls only after you say yes.

  3. 3

At the door: who may go in

The technician arrives with photo ID and asks for yours, and the dispatcher tells you on the call what else is needed to show you may open that business.

  4. 4

    Entry, non-destructive first

The technician works the lock non-destructively first, whatever hardware the door carries. Drilling is discussed with you before it happens and is kept for a cylinder that is already broken or a high-security lock you choose to have drilled; if a cylinder has to go, its replacement is in the price you agreed to.

  5. 5

The rekey, in the same visit

If a key is missing or left with someone who should no longer have it, the cylinders that key opened are rekeyed, or their cores are changed, before the technician leaves. New keys are cut from the van, and you decide who gets one.

  6. 6

    Locking up

You test the new keys in every door that changed, the technician records the entry in a signed log that stays with you, and the building is locked behind you.

Why the Checks Matter

What the technician verifies at a business door, and why the rekey belongs in the same trip

A locksmith who opens a business for anyone who asks is a risk to every business nearby, which is why the check at the door is not a formality. The technician needs to know two things: that you are who you say, and that you have a right to be inside. A photo ID answers the first, and the dispatcher tells you on the call what else is needed to show you may open that business. If you are the manager rather than the owner, say so on that call, before the van leaves Brookhaven.

The second decision is what to do about the key that caused the problem. A key left at home is not a security question. A key that was stolen, lost with a bag that also held the business address, or kept by an employee who has left is one, and the cleanest answer is to change the lock before anyone goes home. On a standard cylinder that means a rekey: the pins inside are changed so a new key works and the old one does not. Many commercial doors carry mortise locks, set in a pocket cut into the door edge, whose cylinders are rekeyed the same way.

Some buildings use interchangeable cores instead, which come out with a control key rather than being repinned in the door; the Smyrna page explains how they work. When your doors use them, a core change is the quick fix, so have the control key, or know who holds it, when you call.

If the doors are master-keyed, a lost master changes the job: every cylinder under that master is repinned to the building's key chart. Tell the dispatcher which key is gone, the master, a department key or one door's key, so the van carries enough pins and cores. For a building where copies should not be possible at all, restricted keyways are explained on our Fairburn page, and the full commercial offer is on commercial locksmith service and in the commercial lock change guide.

Commercial Locksmith, Morrow

The rest of the business work: keys, cards, exits and storefronts

Done during the day by appointment or at night alongside a lockout, for shops near Southlake Mall, offices and warehouses anywhere in 30260.

Rekeys after staff leave

When people change, the cylinders they could open change too. Keep a list of which doors each key opens and who holds each one; how that key control is kept up over time is covered on our Smyrna page.

Master key systems

Owner, manager and staff keys arranged in levels on a key chart, so each person opens only their doors. When a master goes missing, every cylinder under it is repinned to the chart, as the section above explains. Start planning with the master key system setup guide.

Access control

Codes, cards or fobs on staff doors remove the lost-key night altogether: a missing credential is switched off, not rekeyed. Keypads, readers and credential management are explained on our Duluth page.

Panic bars and exit devices

Exit hardware on rear and fire doors, fitted new or repaired when the bar sticks or the latch misses, along with the keyed trim on the outside. What goes wrong with them is set out on our Tucker page.

Storefront doors

Aluminum-framed glass doors take narrow-stile hardware: a hook-bolt deadlock and a mortise cylinder sized to the stile. After a break-in, a bent stile or a sprung bolt is checked first, and the quote covers whatever part it needs. The details are on our Little Five Points page.

New locks and hardware

A lockset that is worn, damaged in a break-in, or below the grade the door needs is replaced rather than rekeyed. A photo of the old lock and a note on the door material let the van carry the right replacement.
Car Locksmith, Morrow

Keys for the car, made and programmed wherever it stopped in Morrow

Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, with European and luxury makes covered as well. Each card names the detail that shapes the job.

Keys locked inside

Opening it is non-destructive work, with a long reach tool, an air wedge or a Lishi pick named among the tools. If a child or a pet is inside, call 911 first, at any temperature. More on opening a locked car and keys shut inside the car.

Push-button fobs

Ford's Intelligent Access fobs, listed by STRATTEC for the F-150 and Mustang from 2015, the Explorer from 2016 and the Fusion from 2013, carry a non-transponder emergency blade. Where Ford’s owner routine exists it needs two programmed fobs in the car, so with one left, a new fob is added with a programming tool, and some models accept it no other way. See the Ford locksmith page.

Spares, new keys, all keys lost

A spare is cut and its transponder chip programmed while a working key exists. When every key is gone, the key code linked to the VIN gives the cuts for a new blade, and a blank chip is enrolled in the immobilizer; say the model year when you call and you hear which route fits before the van is booked. Proof of ownership is the title or registration plus a matching photo ID. See lost car key replacement and key programming.

Fobs bought online, fobs that fail

A fob you ordered is programmed when its frequency, FCC ID and part number suit the car (program a fob you bought online). One that lost its pairing but works is paired again; one that keeps dropping out is replaced with a new fob under warranty. Buttons dead after a battery change? Start with key fob not working.

Fleet vans and work trucks

Businesses along I-75 that run vans get keys programmed in their own lot, several vehicles in a visit. The Ford Transit from 2015, for one, takes a side-mill key, with a separate cargo key listed for it. See fleet van key programming.

Ignitions, broken keys and modules

A key that sticks or spins is traced to the key, the wafers or the actuator pin before it is quoted (ignition repair); a snapped blade comes out through broken key extraction. A swapped control module is matched to the VIN and to your keys right there at the vehicle. The Chevrolet and Toyota pages go make by make.
House Locks, Morrow

For the house in Morrow: front doors, deadbolts and keys that should stop working

The same van, the same phone quote, for the front door.

Locked out of the house

You are let back in by non-destructive entry on the lock already on the door, a knob, a lever or a deadbolt, with drilling as the last resort. When the key was lost rather than left inside, that lock can be rekeyed in the same visit so the lost key opens nothing. Say which door you are at. The home side of the work is on residential locksmith service.

Deadbolts, new or replaced

A deadbolt added to a door that never had one means boring the door and anchoring the strike into the frame, and the measurements behind it are on our Jonesboro page. A worn or loose deadbolt is swapped into the existing bore when the new one fits it. Say whether the door is wood, steel or fiberglass, and how thick it is if you know.

Rekeying after a move

New pins in the cylinders you already have, so keys held by earlier owners, tenants or contractors stop working while the knobs and deadbolts stay. Count the exterior doors, including the one from the garage, before you call, and say whether you want them all on one key. A side gate with a keyed lock can join the same visit.

Smart and high-security locks

Keypad and app deadbolts are fitted, with the user codes entered before the technician leaves. High-security cylinders take blanks that come through the lock maker’s authorized channel rather than a hardware store rack, and they are built to resist picking and drilling. Bring your own lock or have one supplied, and give the brand and model if you already bought it.
Morrow Service Area

Getting the technician to you in Morrow: the ZIP, the exit and the building

Morrow has one street ZIP code, 30260, and a post office box ZIP, 30287. A 30260 address can carry the name Lake City instead of Morrow, since the two share it; the van goes by the street address either way. Morrow is bordered by Lake City to the north and Forest Park to the northwest, and the same dispatch covers Jonesboro and Ellenwood.

I-75 crosses the southern part of the city, and exit 233 lands on Jonesboro Road (GA 54). Southlake Mall sits in the southwest of Morrow near the interstate, which makes it an easy meeting point: name the store entrance or the parking area you are closest to. On Morrow Road, Southlake Parkway or Mt Zion Road, give the nearest cross street. Exit 231, Mount Zion Boulevard, is covered just the same.

The building decides what the technician needs. A store or office after closing needs the verification described above and, where there is an alarm, a call to the monitoring company before the door opens. A warehouse or a fenced yard means sharing the gate code, or sending someone out to wave the van in. A car at Clayton State University, which uses a Morrow address, needs the building and the lot. At a house or an apartment, give the unit number and the gate code if there is one.

FAQ - Questions From Morrow Businesses and Drivers

Night entry as a manager, a key kept by a former employee, alarms, drilling, interchangeable cores, a one-fob Ford, the stretch past exit 231 and 30260 addresses that say Lake City.

Yes, once the technician can confirm you belong there. Bring your photo ID and tell the dispatcher your role on the call; you will hear what else the technician needs to see, and the price, before the van leaves Brookhaven.
Yes. The technician rekeys every cylinder that key opened, or swaps the cores if your doors use interchangeable cores, during the same visit, and cuts new keys for the people who should have them. List the doors that key opened before you call, and say if it was a master key, since a master reaches more cylinders.
Call your alarm monitoring company first and tell them a locksmith is opening the door, or have the disarm code ready for the moment it opens. That keeps the entry from being reported as a break-in. If only the owner knows the code, reach the owner before the door is opened.
Entry starts non-destructively on the hardware you have. Drilling is talked through with you first and is kept for a cylinder that is already broken or a high-security lock you choose to have drilled. If a cylinder has to be replaced, the new one is part of the quote you agreed to on the phone.
Yes, when the control key is available: the core comes out with it and a new one takes its place. Know who holds the control key, and whether the building is master-keyed, when you call.
Yes. Where Ford's owner routine exists for Intelligent Access fobs, it needs two programmed fobs in the car, so with one left the new fob is added with a programming tool at the vehicle. Bring the registration or title and an ID with the same name on it.
Yes. It is one exit south of exit 233, and the van comes there all the same. Give the side of the interstate, the nearest business and the cross street, plus the color and model of the car.
Yes. 30260 is the street ZIP for both Morrow and Lake City, and the van is sent by the street address. The quote, the arrival time given on the call and the rest of the service are the same.
