Ellenwood's mobile locksmith, at the car in your driveway or the door of your office
4Keys Locksmith is a mobile locksmith answering 24/7 in Ellenwood, Georgia, authorized in the NASTF VSP registry and ALOA-trained, insured by The Hartford, with its company, 4Keys Locksmith LLC, on file at the Georgia Secretary of State. You never drive to a counter: the van carries the key-cutting machine, the programmer and spare lock hardware to your address, which is how a locksmith that comes to you is supposed to work, and the dispatcher gives the arrival time from Brookhaven to Ellenwood on the call.
Homes in ZIP 30294 are mostly single-unit houses, detached or attached, so the car tends to be in a driveway or a garage and the door is a house door with a knob or lever and a deadbolt. The section right below takes on a question drivers ask before they call anyone: whether a key fob bought online can be made to work with their car.
Cars, houses and businesses are all covered, and each service is explained further down with what changes the job. You hear the price over the phone before anyone drives out; our published rates are on the 4Keys pricing page. The line is answered in English and Spanish.
Bought a key fob online? The FCC ID, the band and the part number decide if it will program
4Keys Locksmith programs a key fob you bought online at your car in Ellenwood once the part matches the vehicle, and that match is read from the fob itself, never from the photo on the listing. Three identifiers settle it: the FCC ID, the radio band the fob transmits on, and the manufacturer's part number. A fourth question, whether the fob was ever programmed to another car, decides whether it can be used at all.
The FCC ID is the identifier carried by a radio transmitter that holds an FCC grant of certification, the authorization most radio devices need before they can be sold in the United States, and it has to appear on a label. It has two halves: a grantee code the Commission assigns permanently to the manufacturer (three characters when it starts with a letter, five when it starts with a number) and a product code the manufacturer picks for that device. On a fob it is printed or molded on the back of the case, and it has to match the FCC ID of the fob that came with your car. Acura's TLX shows why a listing is not enough: the 2015 to 2017 smart key is FCC ID KR5V1X, the 2018 to 2020 key is KR5V2X, and a fob sold as fitting "TLX 2015-2020" can only be one of them.
The band is the second filter. The receiver in the car listens on one frequency, and the vendor listings for US fobs show two of them, 315 MHz and 433 or 434 MHz. That same TLX change moved the key from 315 to 434 MHz, and Nissan's Altima went from a 315 MHz smart key (Hitag 2, ID46) on the 2007 to 2012 cars to a 434 MHz Hitag AES key on the 2019 to 2022 cars. A fob on the wrong band never unlocks the doors, however well its chip could be written.
The part number ties the case to the chip inside it, the transponder the immobilizer reads before it lets the engine run. A part number also separates turn-key cars from push-button cars: the vendor of Toyota's HYQ12BEL remote-head key for the Camry 2014 to 2017 and the US-built Corolla 2014 to 2019 states that it will not work on a car with push-button start (the letter stamped on a Toyota or Honda blade, which names the chip, is explained on the Lithonia page). Infiniti warns technicians in bulletin ITB16-005B that Intelligent Keys that look identical can come from different manufacturers with different electronics, and tells them to confirm the key by VIN and parts catalog. That is the real line between OEM and aftermarket. Key vendors sell both, and an aftermarket fob is judged by the same three identifiers as a factory one, never by its shell; a look-alike whose board differs is exactly the case that bulletin describes.
Used fobs are the trap. Jeep's owner's manuals for the 2019 Cherokee, the 2019 Wrangler and the 2022 Grand Cherokee say that once a fob is programmed to a vehicle it cannot be programmed to another, and Lexus's bulletin for the 2019 to 2021 ES 350 says a key erased in a reset can never be reused on any vehicle. When the fob you bought was pulled from another car, 4Keys programs a new fob in its place during the same visit, covered by the 4Keys warranty.
Before you order, or before you call, read the dispatcher the FCC ID, the part number, the number of buttons and whether the listing says new, refurbished or used, together with the year, make and model or the VIN. If the part fits, it is programmed at the car and an uncut emergency blade is cut on the van. As with any key, programming waits until the title or registration has been compared with a photo ID bearing the same name. The longer guide is programming a key fob you bought online.
One model name, two different fobs: FCC IDs and bands from the parts listings
Years exactly as the key vendors and the manufacturers list them. The FCC ID on the fob that came with your car beats every row here, so read it before you order.
| Vehicle | Years listed | FCC ID, band and chip | What has to match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acura TLX | 2015-2017 | Smart key KR5V1X, 315 MHz, ID47 | The first half of the model run; the 2018 car takes a different part. |
| Acura TLX | 2018-2020 | Smart key KR5V2X or KR5V21, 434 MHz, ID47 | Same model name, new FCC ID and new band: a 2015 to 2017 fob will not pair. |
| Nissan Altima (also Maxima 2009-2014) | 2007-2012 | Smart key KR55WK48903 or KR55WK49622, Hitag 2 (ID46), 315 MHz | Match either FCC ID; the 2019 to 2022 Altima uses a 434 MHz Hitag AES key instead. |
| Toyota Camry, Corolla (US-built) | Camry 2014-2017, Corolla 2014-2019 | Remote-head key HYQ12BEL ("H" chip) | Turn-key cars only: the vendor says it does not work on push-button start. |
| Kia Sorento | 2021-2023 | Smart key, part 95440-P2010, Hitag AES (4A) | Match the part number; Kia releases the key and PIN codes under NASTF VSP policies. |
| Jeep Grand Cherokee | 2011-2013 | Keyless-Go FOBIK, M3N5WY783X / IYZ-C01C, 433 MHz, part 56046736AA | Match both FCC IDs and the part number. The 2013 manual prints no owner routine, so the fob is programmed with a tool. |
| Jeep Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L | 2022-2023; L 2021-2023 | Proximity fob M3NWXF0B1, 434 MHz, ID47 | The manual says a programmed fob cannot be moved to another vehicle: buy it new. |

Before the van rolls: the questions, and how an Ellenwood job is priced
For a car: the year, make and model or the VIN, how many working keys you have left, and, for a fob you bought, its FCC ID and part number. For a door: how many locks and what kind. Three things set the quote: what kind of key or lock it is, how the programming has to be done, and when the van goes out, since calls between 9 PM and 7 AM local time, and on Sundays and federal holidays carry the after-hours rate, named in that same quote. The van is sent once you say yes. Published rates: pricing.

Business locks in Ellenwood: control over every key and every credential
For an office, a clinic, a church or a shop in Ellenwood, the first question is who still holds a key. After an employee departs, each lock their key worked gets new pins; where a master system exists, those pins are set from the key chart so the manager's master still works everywhere. Designing a new system begins with two lists, the doors and who needs each of them, a process laid out in the master key system setup guide. The full commercial list is on commercial locksmith service.
Access control retires the metal key on staff doors. Every person gets a personal PIN, card or fob, one departure means deleting one credential instead of changing locks, and systems with an event log record each entry.
Exit devices, the panic bars on rear and side doors, have to release with a push from inside while staying secure from the street. The work covers new installations, bars that stick or no longer catch, and exterior trim fitted with a key cylinder. Glass-and-aluminum shop doors take narrow-stile hardware, whose mortise cylinder and hook bolt are sized to that thin frame. Measure the door width and note whether it is steel, aluminum or wood.
If the owner or manager is stuck outside after hours, the building is opened whatever the time, and when a key walked off with a former employee the locks it fits can be rekeyed during that visit. Tell the dispatcher the business name on the door and how many locks that key worked.
Where the van meets you in 30294, on any side of the county lines
4Keys Locksmith covers all of ZIP 30294, the one ZIP whose postal city is Ellenwood, whether the address falls on the DeKalb, Clayton, Henry or Rockdale side of it. The county does not change the service or the quote; the street address and the nearest cross street are what route the van.
Ellenwood lies along I-675 and State Route 42. From I-675, exit 5 (Ellenwood Road and Forest Parkway) is itself in Forest Park, and Ellenwood Road runs south from Forest Parkway into Ellenwood; exit 2 is US-23 and SR-42 at Rex. Naming Ellenwood Road, SR-42 or River Road with a cross street gets the technician to you. Next door, Conley and Morrow are covered by the same dispatch.
Behind a subdivision gate, share the entry code when you call or wait at the entrance. At a workplace lot, such as the one at the Atlanta Federal Records Center on Southpark Boulevard, or a school lot such as Cedar Grove High School on River Road, give the lot and the row: the car is worked on where it is parked. For a fob or key, keep the car reachable, since programming happens with the technician inside it.
