Why a trunk lockout is a different job

A trunk lockout sounds like a smaller version of a car door lockout, but the lock geometry, latch mechanism, and emergency release paths are completely different. Door locks have wafers we can pick from the side. Trunk locks have rotating cam mechanisms that require different tools. Modern vehicles with electronic trunk release also rely on the battery, so a dead battery can leave the trunk fully sealed even with the keys in your hand.

Our trunk lockout kit includes trunk picks, long-reach tools, non-marring wedges, and pass-through access tools that let us reach the latch through the rear cabin without folding seats or drilling. Most opens take 5 to 15 minutes once the tech is on-site.
